Big steps in the right direction

Some super exciting things have happened since I first wrote. In March I went PART TIME starting a new day job. I know right!? I now have two glorious ‘Amyverse days’ a week ( plus most evenings and weekends). This is a huge and daunting step but I am sooooo excited it has happened. This time last year I would have laughed if you told me I was doing this! I wanted to be able to have a bit of a life again, and I have actually managed to have a few weekends! Oh the luxury! The thing is it is so hard to switch off, The Amyverse is my everything. I think about it constantly and if I am not working on it, I feel guilty but I really want to have more of a balance. It also means I have time to dedicate to the business and I have seen it grow so much this year already.

So… What have I been doing with all this extra time? Well, I have not stopped!

Etsy

My etsy shop has been going really well so far. In February only a month in I hit 50 sales! There was lots of happy dancing in the Goble Household that’s for sure.

As of today I have had 168 sales and 43 5* reviews. It is absolutely amazing and I am so grateful for every single order. I can’t believe that’s all happened since January!!!!

Every time I get an order the etsy app makes a cha-ching sound which still makes me jump out of my skin every time.

Weddings, weddings weddings!

It is all go in The Amyverse with weddings coming up in May and June so I have been finalising last minute details and making sure everything is ready to go.

I pushed myself outside of my comfort zone and attended a wedding networking event - The Brighton Wedding breakfast club. It was amazing to connect with so many talented and passionate people and I am going to be creating some stationery for one of the wedding planners I met.

One of my best friends is getting married in June and I am making everything. I have loved it! I cannot wait to see it all in action but it will be surreal to see it all there and be a guest too! Here are her evening invitations - aren’t they pretty! You’ll have to wait until after the wedding to see all the bits and piece I have made.

I also made a New York themed table plan and table numbers for a lovely couple who got married over the bank holiday weekend. I am so proud of the table plan! When Liam came to pick it up he was so excited to see it and so happy with my work that he gave me a hug. It made me feel amazing! When he left my husband and I definitely did a little happy dance around the living room!

I am now going to be adapting this table plan for my friends wedding as they got engaged in New York so it is the perfect theme for their table plan. This will be changing from navy to pink with some floral elements too!

I am so excited to be meeting with local couples and talking about my favourite thing - WEDDINGS! I said to my sister that getting ready for the wedding fair makes The Amyverse feel real and she said to me ‘was it pretend before?’ It was exactly what I needed to hear, although I am new to the wedding industry this is serious and something I am so passionate about. I cannot wait to get started on my next wedding projects.

Thanks for reading.

Much love,

Amy
