With season three fast approaching, Bridgerton-inspired weddings are a great way to add some elegant and romantic elements to your special day. The Bridgerton series is known for its romantic and elegant atmosphere, which we recreated with lush florals, candlelit tables, and plenty of regal touches to give you all the Bridgerton wedding inspiration you need! Our inspiration was taken from the latest hit series Bridgerton, seeing all the wonderful regalness and stunning florals we were just so inspired to recreate something similar and just as magical captured by Lauren Beth Photography.
If you are looking to create a Bridgerton-inspired wedding, here are some ideas to make your special day truly unforgettable:
Stationery fit for a Duke and Duchess
Your stationery sets the tone for your wedding, and for a Bridgerton wedding we need these to be talk of the ton and something that get’s Lady Whistledowns attention. I opted for a delicate Bridgerton Blue and paired it with gold detailing and touches of blush pink, with decorated hand-lettered calligraphy, wax seals and regency-inspired shapes. Why not send your invitations in hand-lettered calligraphy envelopes for that real wow factor. The focus of this suite was elegant calligraphy, but if you look closely you will see Bridgeton inspired quotes and references to Lady Whistledown throughout. These beautiful details give your guests a taste of the grandeur that awaits them.
Play around with the theme with your stationery - why not have your favourite Bridgerton quotes turned into hand-lettered calligraphy signage? Not only will this enhance the theme but you’ll have some beautiful keepsake pieces after the day.
Dress of dreams
The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about Bridgerton-inspired weddings is the stunning gowns worn by the characters. So, for a true Bridgerton-inspired wedding, a show stopping dress is a must-have. Think long, flowing dresses
Why not go for a regency-style wedding dress?Think long, flowing dresses with empire waists, puffy sleeves, and delicate lace details. empire waists, puffy sleeves, and delicate lace details.
The dress from Millia London had to be something special and was the centre of our colour palette, its beautiful textured layers contrasted so perfectly with the velvets, linen and silk ribbons by silk and purl! Of course, there had to be a headpiece and so the wonderful jewellery and accessories were supplied by The Lucky 6 Pence, placed so beautifully on the stunningly styled hair and makeup by Emily bliss bridal on our brilliant model Olivia Rachael.
Candles
Candles, candles and more candles (when you think you have enough add more). You cannot go wrong with elegant candles and why not opt for soft pastel colours to add pops of colour to your table while creating a romantic atmosphere. Romantic candlelight by Ester and Erik in the soft pastel colours worked so perfectly with the linens and florals.
Flowers galore
The more flowers the better I say. For the Bridgerton theme, romantic garden-style bouquets with dainty flowers and greenery are perfect. Highlight the main areas with incredible displays like the fireplace arrangments at Balcombe Place. Pastel pinks, Regency blue, lilac and cream are distinctive of the regency era and never go out of style.
We channeled floral regalness and colour, using bridgerton blue as our main theme and having whimsical flowers spilling over every surface everywhere you looked created by Tawny Flower Studio using Gaia Vessel ceramics.
Vintage afternoon tea
Afternoon tea, a beloved British tradition, is the perfect addition to a Bridgerton-inspired wedding. It's a chance to indulge in delicious treats, sip on tea, and bask in the elegance of the Regency-era. Serve it on beautiful vintage crockery, and if the weather is kind to you why not take the tea party outside to enjoy the views of your beautiful venue. Vintage flair China provided the dreamiest afternoon tea on the lawn served on the most intricate crockery.
Let them eat cake
A Bridgerton wedding is not complete without a show-stopping cake fit for a queen like this by Dotty rose cakes. Why not incorporate the florals from your decor onto the cake.
Vintage furniture
Using lots of opulent furniture styled so perfectly by Nikki from The Toast, is a great way to take your guests back in time. Why not change the traditional aisle to romantic furniture for a more initmate feel
The perfect venue
To create the perfect ambiance for your Bridgerton-inspired wedding, choose a venue that is elegant and refined. A grand ballroom or a historic mansion would be the perfect setting to bring the show's Regency-era charm to life.
One of the most memorable scenes from Bridgerton is the grand ballroom scenes. To recreate this look at your wedding, go for opulent decor that includes chandeliers, flowers, and a grand staircase. Use gold accents to add a touch of luxury.
We headed to Balcombe Place to create the most romantic and elegant wedding. Down the long private drive, with stunning countryside views and large lawned gardens, it was the perfect venue. You could imagine Daphne and Simon dancing around the grounds.
So, embrace the charm of the Regency-era and make your wedding day a fairytale come true.
